About the University

Netaji Subhas Open University was established as State Open University in 1997 by an Act of
West Bengal State Legislature (West Bengal Act XIX of 1997) and is recognized by the UGC-
Distance Education Bureau (DEB) since its inception. Netaji Subhas Open University has now
emerged as a major leader of Open and Distance Education in India and has drawn national as
well as international visibility due to its phenomenal growth. The University has clocked about
2,80,000 learners till date. Currently, the University is offering a prodigious variety of courses
and programmes at its 234 Study Centres spread all over the State of West Bengal.
Towards the goal of spreading higher education in different parts of the State, to provide wider
access to higher education and to different skill enhancing educational programmes, Netaji
Subhas Open University provides quality education in a flexible mode to serve the aim of
establishing an equitable knowledge society within the State, provide higher education through
distance learning.



About the Seminar

A change in the corporate financial reporting has become a great necessity considering its
importance in the financial decision making process. Recently the revised Schedule VI and
Companies Act 2013 have been introduced. As a result the presentation of financial statements
has been changed. The seminar focuses more on concepts that are relatively new in the area of
business environment in India.
The 2-day National Seminar will provide a platform for interaction amongst academicians,
researchers and industrialists.

Call for Papers

Original and high quality research papers on the above areas are invited from academicians,

researchers, industry experts and others. Authors of accepted abstracts shall receive a notification

of acceptance from the Organizing Committee. Abstract and full paper must be sent on-line to

Guidelines for submitting paper

• All papers must be in English and preferably be below 3000 words.

• The Review Committee reserves the right to edit or to reject any material submitted

without assigning any reason to the author(s).

• Papers should be typed in A4 size paper (double spaced), in Times New Roman, font

size 12 (for Heading 14)

• Papers will be accepted only through e-mail in MS Words file.

• Authors should mention their full name and furnish their address, affiliation along with

phone numbers and e-mail ID.

• Selected papers will be published in a volume with ISBN after double blind review.
